Time to treat myself

I've worked so hard this week even and i don't get any more time off now for another 6 weeks so i decided to treat myself. I got me some more of the sugar Nellie simply adorable stamps, so full length ones this time. More exciting is the magnolia Tilda mini i have ordered! these look so sweet i just can't wait for it to be delivered. Got bids of a few other stamps along with some exciting products that will be great to start using and i can wait to share them with everyone! Going to have a clear out tomorrow and get some of the bits i don't need or use any more onto eBay along with some more images that I've coloured tonight. I'll be sure to share them with you when I've done it.

Going to do my 1st project with the spring images tomorrow i will try to get it done in the morning but we'll see.

Results of the poll

Well the results are in and it's a tie between Venetian moments and springtime images. What I've decided to do is a project with each over the next few days starting with the springtime images and get it posted with step by step instructions and lots of photo's! I've set up a YouTube account too so i am hoping to get some video's made soon!

Got to hit the books again for a while now, at least i can see the end of the tunnel now with this course.

Happy crafting!

another weekend another Birthday party

My youngest has got another birthday party to go to tomorrow. this time it's a little boy so I've gone with a pirate theme. I've made a bookatrix card with 4 layers in silver cream blue and a beige colour with a blue bookmark and stand. The lettering i have cut out with my cricut. For the Image i have used a cute Edwin Pirate sitting on a barrel with a skull and anchor. I've coloured him in with my promarkers going for softer colours. I have gone over the edges of the pages with sparkle pod modge which has added a little stiffness to the edges to help keep the shape.

Another new stamp!

As soon as i saw this stamp i knew i had to have it. It comes as a set with 3 other stamps and I'm sure you will get to see those too soon. I was thinking of Mothers day as i was making this card, but i will be listing it on ebay as a general one. As always i coloured the stamp in with my promarkers then i attached it to a really cute lace and cotton Dollie that i picked up a couple of days ago. I then used some plain papers and my cricut to make a couple of flourishes. the ribbon flower on there is my 1st attempt at ribbon flowers and wow how easy are they lol. I finished the flower off with a large yellow brad. The sentiment i used is a new one I've got which says Just for you because you are wonderful and is from Lili of the valley. If anyone is interested in getting this stamp if you click on the link to craftsuprint on the bottom of my blog and sear for digital stamps you will find it, it was only 80p for the 4 images! so it's a bargain :)

My 1st attempt at Grunge Flowers

I was looking through YouTube earlier at videos on how to make paper flowers and found a couple that seemed pretty straight forward. I had all of the materials required apart from the glimmer mist and mod podge (which i later discovered i do actually need to get!). I so I set to work cutting out my flower layers with my cricut, i followed the instructions and ended up with 2 kinda flowery looking things lol. OK maybe this isn't as easy at it looks, I'm not ready for giving in just yet, I'll keep on it until i get something I'm actually happy with, although i am going to wait until i have those other materials and do the job properly!
This is what my effort looks like lol

My facebook page

just in case anyone was interested i have a facebook page that I upload all my crafting photos to and that I update to let you know you know what projects I'm working on. It can be found here

I'll be doing a post later i think with what I'm working on now, but i am real tired so it might be tomorrow.

Happy crafting x

No I'm not talking about myself, although i might be at the end of the week with all 3 boys at home. I am of course talking about another project. I love the look of distressed cards and have thought for a while about making my own so here it is!
I started with yet another of the gorgeous sugar nellie simply adaroable stamps this time i have used "Grace". I coloured in with promarkers using dusky pink, blush and ivory for the skin, cool Grey number 5, 3 and 2 for the hair and for the bows in her hair and her dress i used peach and honeycomb

I cut the image out and put it onto a piece of white card. After that i cut a recetangle out of some lovely peach and white spotty card and stuck the image to that. The papers tha i have used are mainly paper mania ones altough there are a couple of bits that aren't and i can't remember where i had them from it's been so long. I used a nice little border to ut across the middle and distressed it with Tim Holtz Distress ink …

New stamp 1 of 2

I got me 2 new stamps yesterday, unfortunately I've only got as far as colouring the 2nd image in so you will have to wait to see what that one is. Anyway, the one i have managed to complete tonight is using a stamp from Sugar Nellie called Webb Knitter. It is gorgeous! i have got such a lovely collection of SVG files that i was able to cut out some things that go so well with this card.
OK this is how it was all done, The stamp as always was coloured in using my promarkers and finished off wih frosted lace stickles. I then cut out with my cricut the butterfly, the flower circle flourish, the curly flourish and the mushrooms. I have used paper mania papers for these an i have kept the pink colour scheme for them all. I have added 2 ivory satin flowers at the bottom alone with a pink ribbon bow and on the top of that I have put a cute heart embellishment that is wooden and has a fabric cover. To finish i have used some gems and pearls. The papers used as the backing and to layer up…

Gorjuss Girls

Here is another stamped project using the sugar Nellie just a girl from the gorjuss girls collection. I stamped the image onto a circle of white smooth card and coloured it with my promarkers. I then layered that onto the pink frame which i cut out with the cricut. I have added quite a few embellishments to this card there are the silver charms, a heart padded sticker, the flowers which were cut with the cricut, a floral flourish which is just showing in the top right corner, a flourish heart and the butterfly again all of which were cut with the cricut. I have finished off the card with some stickles on the flowers and the tips of the butterfly.

Something a little bit different.

Fancied doing something different this morning and i came across some Christmas decorations that i loved the idea of so I've adapted it to make this card topper.

I Started by cutting out 2 circles a larger one for the backing and the smaller one to go on the front. Then i cut out 12 2.5" x 2.5" squares. I rolled each of the squares into cones and when they were all rolled i glued them to the base with tacky glue. If you just glue a couple at a time and let them dry before sticking the next couple they will stick much easier. While they were drying i stamped the sentiment onto the smaller circle, the sentiment i have used for this is a Lili of the valley one that says Friends are the flowers in the garden of life. I used my cricut to cut the butterflies and the flowers and finished them off with gems and glitter. Once the cones were dry i stuck the sentiment and the embellishments on with a tape roller and tacky glue.

I'd love to hear what you think of this idea.

Happy …

I just Can't decide

I want to do some crafting later today, but i can't decide what to do! I've got so much stuff and so many idea i don't know where to start. If anyone has got any ideas then please share them with me :D

Princess box and Tag

After realising there was no way i was going to get the card i made in an envelope i decided to make a box, and then while i was printing off images i made a matching tag too. I used the Debbi Moore all girls are princesses again and finished them off with gems and stickles.

Girly Birthday card

My youngest has been invited to so birthday parties by his school friends recently. The 1st of these is tomorrow, so I've had to make a card for a little girl for him to take with him. With having 3 boys i don't get to do girly cards often so I've really enjoyed playing with this one. The princess image is from the Debbie Moore "all girls are princesses!" CD. I used one of the decoupage images and layered it up, then i took 2 of the papers from the CD and printed them onto pearlised paper to give it a lovely shimmer look.I have added some frosted lace stickles to the princesses tiara, dress and the little flower just under her. The pink panel, the flowers, the tag with the sentiment on and the name on the bottom were all cut out using my cricut. The sentiment is a stamp from Debbie Moore and is a simple Happy Birthday. I have finished the card off with some pearls and gems to give a little bit of sparkle. Just hope she likes it :)

Tomorrows crafting

I've got a few things prepared ready for a craft session tomorrow night. I've stamped some magnolia Tilda images ready to use, 2 of them will go so well with one of my new sentiment stamps that arrived today. I've got an idea for a scrapbook page I've been thinking about for a while and i think it going to look great when it's all done.
I'm going to attempt making my 1st video tomorrow so wish me luck!

I'm off to bed now for some much needed rest so i can be wide awake tomorrow evening to craft away the night :)

Happy Crafting everyone and good night x

Craft CD Poll

I have a nicely growing collection of craft Cd's now and i was wondering if there is anything particular you'd like to see being used. I'd really love it if you could pick at least one CD although the option to pick several is there! As soon as the Poll is over i will use the winning CD to create a few cards and maybe scrapbook pages. I will get plenty of photos and a video or two posted. If enough people are interested i might even do a little give away :)

Happy Crafting x

simple sympathy card

I've never made a sympathy card before, i could never think of a design that was simple and thoughtful. i got some new stamps from Debbie Moore a couple of days ago along with a pack of different card stock and i flt they would be perfect to make a simple elegant card to show someone that they are being thought of.
I've used navy card stock for the actual card, then a square of a lighter textured blue, on that is a dark creamy coloured piece of card that i  have stamped onto. The flowers at the bottom was the biggest stamp in the set from Debbie Moore one stamp and then i used the smaller dragonfly stamp on the top. The sentiment heartfelt i had in a set of stamps from hero arts. i wrapped a piece of thin blue ribbon around the light blue card and added yellow brads in the corners, although I'm not happy with those and i think i will change them tomorrow when i get time to look for a replacement.

More Stamps

I've got 2 more of the Simply adorable stamps today, i am going to get the full size ones next i think, but these are the 3 ive got for now, and what i've coloured today. I've got a little project in my head that i will try to get done and posted before the end of the day.

Always a little time to stamp

I am still reall excited about my newest addition to my stamp family but i don't want to neglet the other stamps i have so i thought i'd have a play around with 2 of them. the 1st is a Magnolia Tilda one and the other is a Sugar Nellie Gorjuss girl one. both of these have been coloured with the promarkers again.

New stamp

I got myself a new stamp a couple of days ago and I love it!!!! It's called Verity and it's from the Sugar Nellie Simply Adorable collection ( yes i will be getting the rest of the stamps in the collection too hehe). Of course i had to do the right thing and use it straight away so i had a go at colouring the the image and seeing how it worked out, i have coloured in a few of them now but so far I've only had time to get one turned into a card.

This is the card i made, i coloured the image with promarkers, the little pink flowers i made with my cricut as was the larger pink heart. The satin flowers i got in my last bargain buy from Hobby craft and the little wooden butterfly and heart i also got from hobby craft in their spring collection.

These were the next 2 i coloured in, again using promarkers.

I have done one more tonight and it is my favourite one yet. I will have to start thinking how i can put some of these together as cards, or maybe something different for a ch…
