Something a little bit different.

Fancied doing something different this morning and i came across some Christmas decorations that i loved the idea of so I've adapted it to make this card topper.

I Started by cutting out 2 circles a larger one for the backing and the smaller one to go on the front. Then i cut out 12 2.5" x 2.5" squares. I rolled each of the squares into cones and when they were all rolled i glued them to the base with tacky glue. If you just glue a couple at a time and let them dry before sticking the next couple they will stick much easier. While they were drying i stamped the sentiment onto the smaller circle, the sentiment i have used for this is a Lili of the valley one that says Friends are the flowers in the garden of life. I used my cricut to cut the butterflies and the flowers and finished them off with gems and glitter. Once the cones were dry i stuck the sentiment and the embellishments on with a tape roller and tacky glue.

I'd love to hear what you think of this idea.

Happy Crafting!
