Sarah Kay easter card

I just love these Sarah JKay images, I have printed this one onto canvas paper then made an easel card with blue and yellow papers and embeslished it with flowers, ribbon and pearls.

Wedding Anniversary Card

Tomorrow is my parents wedding anniversary, I've been trying to make them a card all of last week but due to varies distractions i never got around to getting it put together. So today I set aside some time to make them something really nice. !st i printed out a Sarah Kay image onto some canvas paper to give it an oil painting look, I'm really pleased with how that turned out . I then cut the card with a spellbinders labels die. Used the same die but a little smaller to cut out the pattered backing paper. Then i layered the image with some flowers and ribbon. The tag is a doo-hickey that i have stuck on a sentiment peel off, inked over it with Tim Holtz distress ink and then i peeled off the stickers to leave the white card exposed.

Another vintage style card topper.

I was looking through all the digital papers i have got and really wanted to use these 2, i printed them off and they sat on my desk for a couple of days until i could decide what to do with them. I decided that i would use them in my latest Sugar Nelli Simply adorables collection. The image has been coloured with promarkers and placed onto a linen doilie that i have gone over with tim holtz walnut satin distress ink to give it an aged look. I have made a stick pin with some beads and a nice silver spacer i'd got. then i added more of the wild orchid flowers and a ribbon which i added a silver heart charm.

oh my goodness

I have been so busy! I've had poorly children the end of last week so i took a couple of days off work (they are all going great again now though) while i was off work i tried to get as much done as i could. I've coloured in a load more stamps ready to create with, I've ordered more supplies including another set of magnolia tilda stamps which i just can't wait to start using! I've also been playing around with a few new ideas including a little bit of up cycling. I'm not going to give too much away about those yet as i plan on giving one of them to someone as a gift before i post them. Another thing I've been working on are some stick pins. I think they look lovely on cards and on other projects, i bought 2 packs of hat pins that had just one bead on the top but decided it wasn't quite what i was after, so I've been dismantling old beaded jewelry to create my own stick pins in any colour i want them, again I'll post photo's of these later o…

Tilda bookmark

I have made this cute little bookmark as a gift for someone, i wanted something a little bit unique and love how this book mark looks. I used a mini stamp on a doo-hickey die cut tag, then as always i coloured it in with my promarkers. after that i threaded through some cream ribbon, sewed it to it didn't come off and added a cute little silver cat charm. on the other end of the ribbon i added another one of the flowers from  i sewed this to the end and sealed the ends of the ribbon with mod podge. I used mod podge on the flower to add a little bit of silver glitter to it.

Vintage style

I'm really into my vintage look and flowers at the moment so i made this card with that theme in mind. I used the new sugar nellie gorjuss girl stamp that came in the post today and i stamped it onto white stamp paper with tim holtz distress ink in walnut satin and coloured it in with promarkers. After that i used the spell binder to cut around the stamped image and to cut a larger shape out of a lovely flower patteren cardstock.  i put a vintage ribbon around the base and tied a bow in it dipping the ends in mod podge to prevent it from fraying. I made a little flower and bow with lace and glued a button in the middle of it finishing that with a little pearl. I  then made my 1st spiral distress flower this was made with a sheet of 6" x 6" patterned paper that i stamped over in walnut satin with a stamp from my mind's eye called wild-asparagus, this was another of my ebay bargains. when i had cut and rolled the flower i gave it a spray over with my copper glimmer mis…

It's all about blue!

Finally got a blue version made with the sugar nelli bambino stamp. I did this one totally different to the pink one i made, i have used the spell binder to cut out the dark blue back ground, then i have stuck on the bored cut out on pastel blue card stock with a matha stewert boarder punch. i cut out a smaller shape in a lighter blue with the spellbinder and used a flourish cut out with the cricut. The stamped image again was cut with the spellbinder and was hand coloured in with Promarkers. I have finished the card off with a distressed tag saying New arrival which i pop dotted on there and finished with a flower from I used some other flowers from there to embelish the top of the card and some pearls for the bottom of the card.

Thank you

Just wanted to share you with a little thank you card i made to post along with some cards that had been ordered from me on etsy. I always feel so honoured when someone wants to pay me to make a special card for them so i do like to say thank you. This is such a simple card but looks really nice i think. I used a basic cream card stock to make the card, i then used the deckle edge cutter on my paper trimmer to cut one edge of the pink panel and stuck it to the bottom. I used my spell binder to cut the small label and stamped it with thank you in versa magic  chalk ink in jumbo java. i put a cream ribbon across the pink panel and tied a bow in it. I stuck on a few gems and left it at that. Sometimes the less that's on it the better :)

In the pink

Well here it is, my 1st creating with the new bambino stamp. I have used the image that i coloured and posted the other day and got to use my brand new toy too! The image is coloured with promarkers, i then used my brand new pink spellbinders grand calibur to cut out the labels, i started with putting the image onto the white one, then i layered it onto the pink gingham before cutting a bigger one out of pink and sticking the other to on it. i then made an easel card out of cream card stock. I used some pink paper for the base inside and for the panel on the front. the sentiment was stamped onto another smaller label that i cut in half and says "new arrival" i decorated it with some of those gorgeous flowers i got from wild orchid crafts. On the base i put a pink with white spots ribbon and made a loops which i stuck another larger rose again from wild orchid crafts. the roses have been finished off with frosted lace stickles and finished the card with gems and …

my 1st paper rosette

I decided to give making a paper rosette a try out. I must say it was easier than i had anticipated! I cut a strip of card stock 1.5 inches and scored it every quarter of an inch. After I'd scored all of it i folded it in a zigzag pattern. when it was all folded i glued the 2 ends together and let that dry. Once that ends are glued firmly i cut a piece of card out about half inch squared and flattened the card stock to form the rosette gluing the bottom of it to the card. When it had stuck i sprayed it with blue green and copper shimmer mist and dried it with my heat gun. Once it was dry i added the large brad to the middle and brushed over the top and the edges with walnut stain distress ink.

more new goodies!

I just bought me a new stamp and i just couldn't wait until I've made a card with it before showing you all. it is super cute!! Its the new bambino digital stamp from sugar Nellie as I'm going to be an Auntie next month i can see this stamp featuring in a few things I've got in mind.

Well here is the 1st coloured in one i will do a blue one too later. Looking at it is making me excited about getting baby snuggles real soon from my brand new niece or nephew!

My wild orchid craft order

I placed an order a couple of days ago with wild orchid crafts, as it was my 1st order i decided to just get a few items. I was very surprised to come home from work today to find my order had been delivered already! I couldn't have been happier when i opened it, the flowers are beautiful, as are the other items i ordered. I can't wait to get using these lovely things on the new cards i will be making soon. If anyone is wanting to buy any flowers i can't recommend these highly enough. I've added a little video to my blog to show you what it was i ordered. Barefoot tilda "summer dreaming"

I'm still loving my Tilda stamps, this one is a really simple one. I keep looking at it thinking there is something missing so i may end up adding more to it yet lol. The image and background had been stamped on white card. I have then coloured the image and the background in with promarkers and finished it off with frosted lace stickles and a white gel pen. I put the background onto a piece of brown core'dinations card, i used the same brown card stock to stick a piece of yellow and white checked paper onto that i used on the side. The cream paper i ran through the sizzix texture boutique in a swirl embossing folder from "bringing crafts-too you". I edged the cream paper with Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink. I used the same ink to edge the flower that has been cut out onto white card with a doo-hickey before i edged it i sponged it over with the Tim Holtz distress ink in antique linen then stuck a pearl gem in the middle of it. i added a few more gems and pearls…

a "Mini" treat!

I have totally fallen in love with the new magnolia mini's. They are so much fun to use and they are much more of a challenge to colour in too. I've not made a project as such with them yet, but i had been playing a little with colouring them in and coming up with a few ideas to do with them later on. this is what I've come up with so far. Again I've used promarkers to do all the colouring and I've used distress inks, stickles and mod podge to finish them off.

Springtime cd

OK i know I'm really taking far too long to get this all done. I can't deny i i have been loving my new stamps sooo much I'vefound it hard to put them down long enough to do this project. So far all I've got is a topper, but i promise i will this week get it finished and posted to show you. I used this lovely rose image from the Debbi Moore 100 spring time images CD. I printed 3 lots of the image out and then cut out different parts to decoupage it. I think i am going to keep the card I'm making nice and simple using some nice backing papers, a pretty border and maybe some flowers or ribbon to finish it all off. I might even get time to have a look at it when i get back from college I'll see, how tired i am.
