Vintage bird

I've always loved the vintage look but always been a little lacking in ideas in how i can make it work for me. Finally today it just happened, all the parts came together and I was left with something I am actually really proud of!

The card is just a piece of plain dark green card stock, then I put a piece of striped paper from K&Company. The butterfly stamp was also from the same paper stack. the papers have been inked on the edges with Tim Holtz peeled paint distress ink.the flowers are from wild orchid crafts and petaloo. The wild orchid crafts ones i have spritzed with copper glimmer mist (which i added a couple of drops of vanilla oil to so it smells good too!) when the mist had dried i painted on some Distress crackle pain in clear rock candy. the butterfly and the little bird at the top are wooden embellishments, the small bird i left as it was and just covered with Inkssentials crackle accents. The butterfly i brushed over with walnut stain distress ink before covering in the crackle accents, I personally love the way it has turned out.
Finally the tag and the bird. the bird i printed and cut then covered in the rock candy crackle paint. the tag is a magnolia die, i have stamped the image from Inkadinkado gem stone birds onto the tag with peeled paint distress ink. I used the walnut stain to go over the edge of the tag and lightly brushed over the top with antique linen distress ink.

The seam binding on the tag was a light pink so i dabbed my peeled paint ink pad onto my acrylic stamp block spritzed on some water and rubbed the binding in it until it was the colour i wanted, then I dried it off fast with my hair dryer before adding it to the card.
