Altered art birdcage canvas

This must be a record, I don't think I have ever managed to complete a project this fast before!!

The canvas has been painted with a few different coloured acrylic paints that I have swirled around. I ran a piece of grunge board through my embosser to put the pretty circle pattern on it. I covered that with spiced marmalade distress ink and brushed over some copper pearl powder. The lace that I have attached to the bottom of the grunge board was white but I soaked it in fired brick distress stain, then rubbed it through some watered down walnut stain.

then the paint on the canvas was drying I flicked some copper pearl powder over it, then when it was dry I stamped some birdcages onto the background with walnut stain distress ink. The grunge board bird has been inked over with walnut stain and antique linen distress inks. The little bird on the top has been stamped onto a little domino which was painted in copper paint. the bird cage is a Tim Holtz die cut that was covered in metal magic from Debbi moore. I have covered a couple of wild orchid crafts flowers with glimmer mist and added them with a plan rose and 2 leaves. Finally I stamped on the quote and added the fasteners and chain to hang it up with.

Just commented on your WOYWW post asking to see the finished hanging and then went for a longer snoop and found this post. That was quick, usually takes me at least a week to finish something.
Knew I loved the colours you had picked - looks even better now it's finished
