Altered Book and pin cushion

This is a project I have made for Jane's Challenge I used an old book and folded all of the pages in then glued it to make the cylinder shape. I used 2 cd's for the top and bottom and covered them with K&Co paper then used gold leaf around the edges. I then used a piece of paper mania paper rubbed over it with some antique linen distress ink then stamped an Anna Griffin background stamp over it in Walnut stain. The Pin cushion is the same as the Poe one I did, made it with a glass pot then covered it in fabric. I finished it off with lace and bead trim the lace flower on the front I made and finished with a feather and some bead trim. I attached it to the top of the book and blended it in with flowers.

This is amazing....This idea would be perfect for our Bindery to hold business cards.
Thank you, I made my first one for keeping all my business cards in as I didn't like the look of anything I could buy in a shop to make them.
