Busy Bee

After my little lull the other day I am back in full crafty madness!!

This card is one I have made for a little extra inspiration for our challenge over at Tuesday Alchemy this week.  The challenge is to use the random words which are Lunch, Guitar and Bee. My first piece was an altered lunch bag so I decided to work with a Bee this time and what a cute Bee it is!!! This image is from one of our sponsors Birdie Brown.

I have kept this card pretty simple so the image would stay the main focus. I coloured the stamp with promarkers and was really pleased with how it turned out. I then layered it onto some card stock and papers from my stash. I finished it with a little ribbon and a couple of stickers from hobby craft.

Back to basics

I've been pretty stressed that past couple of days and was starting to feel like there was no point to crafting anymore. All the fun had been taken from it and it had become just another of those things that drained me. Well I sat thinking this morning where did this all start, it wasn't with doing challenges, wasn't with trying to please everyone. It started with me putting my ideas down onto paper and seeing where it led me so that is what I am getting back to. I am still in the DT for Tuesday Alchemy, an I will still do challenges but they are going to be what I want to do and not what others expect or want to see.

My work doesn't always make sense, it's not always all that good but somewhere in my somewhat messed up mind it's just what I needed to do at that moment.

I have made a tag today, a very basic tag, the background was created with glimmer mist and I used Tim Holtz stamps in chalk inks for the 2 main images the leaves are from an Anna Griffin backgr…

I used a stamped image from Robyn's fetish which i coloured in with promarkers before laying it onto some different papers and added it to the front of the bag, to finish this off i added some twine and a ribbon to the top to close it.

I am entering this into the following challenges

Twisted Nursery rhymes

I knew what I wanted to do as soon as I saw what the challenge was this week at Smudgy Antics It's taken me almost all week on and off but it's finally finished and I have to say I love it!!
I have gone for something a little bit different, the challenge we have got over at Tuesday Alchemy this week actually gave me the idea as our theme is Learn with joy, and what more joy can you have than a book full of smeared ink images!!
I have used the brand new nursery rhyme set that I got with my winning from smudgefest :D  I also used one of the Babies of the damned  for the front cover.
This is the front cover of the book

Morgan Fitzsimons Halloween stamp

As most of you that follow my blog know I like the alternative side to craft I love working with anything that is a little bit different and as soon as I saw this stamp I knew I had to work with it.

The stamp is called Halloween #1 and is just fabulous!!!

I coloured it in with's the first time I had coloured in tattoos on an image so I really enjoyed it. I also realized I miss my red hair when I was colouring the hair on this beauty. I used papers from my stash which I distressed and inked with black soot distress ink, I used a cut boarder punch on the bottom and then used a piece of lace from my stash a dovecrafts bloom and a baby's breath flower from wild orchid craft, it was white so I coloured that with promarkers too.

Smeared and Smudged POE-ETIC blog hop

Little Black Kitten

It can be a canvas, a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item, an art journal page, etc. Use your imaginations. Also, don't forget the S&S rule that is has to be stamped somewhere (digi stamps are fine) – we love when you use Smeared Ink stamps, but it is NOT a requirement to participate.

The theme is POE-ETIC! Since we're celebrating the great Edgar Allan Poe this month, I thought it would be awesome for our members to create something using one of his poems!

Well I had all these ideas for this piece, and then I realised what I didn't have however was time!!

So this is what I decided to do...the poem I have used is The Raven. I have upcycled an old box, I, added the Poe's from smeared ink to the bottom and some of my favourite black bead trim to the top then added the raven wings also from smeared ink to t…

Rock N Rolla challenge

This card has been made for the Rock N Rolla Challenged at Smeared and Smudged.

The Idea of the challenge is to pick some inspiration from the music video to make a project.

I watched the video a couple of times and wanted to go with the whole underground feel so i started searching for images I could use to create this effect when I came across these 2 sites and They were just what I was looking for so I have borrowed images from there to make this card.
I printed one of the bigger background image and 2 of the grave stones out so I could fussy cut around them and layer them to give some depth. I made like a reverse easel card(don't know if I just made that up I will have to have a look and see what it is really called later). I rubbed over the white card with walnit stain distress ink then used memento ink to stamp…

Poe Page

This is a digi scrap book page I have made for the Very Sketchy challenge over at smeared and smudged.

I used the Serif craft Artist to make the page, the stamped images are from smeared ink
