It can be a canvas, a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item, an art journal page, etc. Use your imaginations. Also, don't forget the S&S rule that is has to be stamped somewhere (digi stamps are fine) – we love when you use Smeared Ink stamps, but it is NOT a requirement to participate.

The theme is POE-ETIC! Since we're celebrating the great Edgar Allan Poe this month, I thought it would be awesome for our members to create something using one of his poems!

Well I had all these ideas for this piece, and then I realised what I didn't have however was time!!

So this is what I decided to do...the poem I have used is The Raven. I have upcycled an old box, I, added the Poe's from smeared ink to the bottom and some of my favourite black bead trim to the top then added the raven wings also from smeared ink to the back of the box.

Now what would be the fun of a box if it was empty? Of course it would be no fun so I had to fill it up with goodies :D

First off is a brooch I made this with a chipboard piece that I painted metallic black, cut the small feathery bits from a black feather and stuck them to it then added some black flower trim and the Poe frame.

The next piece is a Poe necklace.
Again I added the image to a frame and covered it with 3d gloss glue  then I added it to a ribbon necklace.

And finally I made a bag charm, I used the same Poe stamp from smeared ink added it to a different frame then added different charms and beads.

I hope you have enjoyed what I have made for this hop, be sure to check out what all these amazing crafter's and artists have made too!!

Under the sea

I felt the need to get messy today and all the other projects I am working on are in different stages and all drying so I started something new, I wanted something that I could start and finish in one sitting. I decided on this mixed media banner. I have used various ephemera that I had which matched the under the sea theme and then I stamped up one of the stamps from Smeared Ink's Abyss rubber set. She has been coloured in with spectrum noir markers.
