Happy Halloween! final day of 31 days

Well hasn't this month gone fast! I have really enjoyed making all of my projects this month and I have loved looking at all of the wonderful projects everyone has made.

My final piece for the month is a piece dedicated to the Master of the Macabre Edgar Allan Poe. I have made a handing from clay. I pressed the Poe rubber stamp from Smeared ink into the clay then painted it. Once Dry ( well dryish lol) I sealed it with my homemade mod podge threaded the black cord through to hang it and added the black lace to the back.

I hope you have all had fun making your 31 day pieces and hopping along looking at everyone else's work.

Smeared ink are having a one day Halloween sale so hop on over to get a great discount on their fantastic digi's!

Tuesday Alchemy and day 30 of 31 days of Halloween

It's time to enjoy the season . . you know, the season of Halloween. Create ANY project that is dark, gothic or spooky. Think dark colors & creepy crawlies. (It doesn't have to be Halloween specifically, btw.)

Floppy Latte - $10 Store Voucher

Hi! Im Jessica or Floppy Latte Designs ñ the name comes from my significant other, Mark. He so thoughtfully purchased me an espresso machine for Christmas, and since he could not remember all the different coffee drinks that I crank out, he calls everything that comes out of the machine ìFloppy Lattesî, I thought to myself, SelfÖthat is such a catchy name, you should use it! And thus the name, Floppy Latte Designs was born. I had been doing a bit of designing under my real name, Jessica, but the new name just sounded sooooo fun! So, all the credit goes to Mark, for his humor and great ideas! I design digital stamps and papers, and also rework old woodcuts and drawings and put them into digital stamp form. My fav right now …

Smudgy Antics and day 29!

The Challenge Theme for Smudgy Antics is "GHOUL'S NIGHT OUT".

What do you think Ghouls do for fun?  Do they go to wild parties?  Do they sulk in a corner of the cemetery?  Do they busy themselves primping to look beautiful before they go out and hunt?
We want you to show us your idea of a Ghoul's Night Out!

I have used a new image from smeared ink called Rollers to make my piece. This image will be in the store shortly.
I coloured the image with promarkers, As you can see my ghoul is getting ready for her night out green goo face mask on ad rollers in her hair, and like the senti says what you do expect a ghoul to use?
I have kept the card really simple as I didn't want to take any focus away from this image. I used some papers from graphic 45 and my minds eye.
I do hope you will join us this week at Smudgy antics

day 28 of 31

I cant believe this is almost over, I have really enjoyed making all of these Halloween projects!

Today I have made a tag using a delicious doodles image

Day 27

I am soo late today! I have only just finished making my piece for the day lol
I have decorated a wooden Halloween sign today, I covered it with distress inks then stamped on it with the quoth the raven rubber set from smeared ink

I am going to make tomorrows piece now so hopefully it will be a bit less of a rush job :)

day 26

todays piece is something i do very often but pretty much never ever share. I have been playing around with ink, like paining but i just smear my ink pads around until i feel like i might be done then i stamp on it write on it or stick things over it, its a bit like a journal but its on scrap bits of paper that is normally then thrown out. this piece was made with distress inks and the smeared ink rubber set shadow things. The words were stamped with a small alphabet set i got from ebay.

the next piece i made was a poe tag using smeared inks quoth the raven rubber stamps and the moon and clouds are from smeared inks shadow things rubber set.

Day 25

I am soooo glad I had already coloured a few images in so all I had to do for this piece was cut them out, and that was difficult enough lol. The swelling has gone down in my hand quite a lot though so I should be ok to make tomorrow's piece later :)

This wall hanging was brought from the 99p shop in town, it had some material spiders and ghosts on it but i didn't like them so I took everything off apart from the Halloween sign and the spider in the middle. The dead dancer is one of my fav digi stamps and it is from smeared ink the other image is from deviant art, I will have to find out the link for that later.

day 24 of 31

I am afraid that today's projects isn't all that exciting but with really sore fingers it was the best I could manage. I have finished a couple of pages in the scrapbook I am making, I thought it would be a nice way to store some of the things I have made this month and also any photo's of the boys all dressed up.

The stamped images I have used are from smeared ink and delicious doodles.

day 19 of 31 days of Halloween

Today I have a broach to share with you, the skull is from the Quoth the Raven stamp set from Smeared ink. I stamped this onto some Kraft resist paper then embossed it before inking over it. I used the wings from the same set to stamp onto part of a soda can then covered it with clear embossing powder to seal it. I cut the wings out and attached them to the back of the skull then attached the pin to the back.

day 17 of 31 days of Halloween

Today I have gone back to what I love doing best, altering things I find in the house :D
I have made a Halloween jar using an old Glass jar that was in my cupboard I remember buying a few of these a while ago really cheap. I covered with sides with some black pattered card stock, then on the front used some really cook netting sort of stuff, I got it from a shop in town for about 50p for a meter! the card on the front is an altered playing card, I covered it with black acrylic pant then stamped on the skull from smeared ink's quoth the raven stamp set I then embossed it with copper powder. When that was dry I stamped on the trick or treat and embossed that with Debbi Moore Metal magic embossing powder.

I hope you like my offering for today, be sure to check back tomorrow for another fun project, ok then off you hop carry on along the list with is just there--------->>>>> or go to the start if you haven't been hopping along :)

Tuesday alchemy Colour challenge and day 16

Hi everyone today we have a new challenge from Tuesday Alchemy, this week it is a colour challenge. The colours you need to use are Magenta, olive and teal, you can use one 2 or all 3 of these colours online with white, ivory or black. I went with the Magenta and used a delicious doodles stamp in rubber. I have stamped the image twice with clear versa mark then embossed both with clear embossing powder then rubbed over them both with alcohol ink, i mixed a few different ones to make the magenta colour. I stamped the image on 2 different sort of white card stock, and the effects I got were completely by accident but somehow I ended up with the image and a negative! I think it's pretty cool looking :D

our sponsors this week are broken box studios and Di's digi downloads.
Next piece is my Halloween piece for the day. I made made an atc today I inked it with distress inks then used some bird stamps that I had from hobby craft and a tree from Smeared ink it is from the shadow thing…

Smudgy Antics challenge and day 15

Hello everyone It's Monday again which means another challenge over at Smudgy Antics!! Now there is some rather interesting news there today too, we are changing the way the challenges work the winners will be picked in a different way from now on so please go and take a look at the challenge blog for the full information on how the challenges will work.
This weeks challenge is Dia De Los Muertos, I had a bit of a block in making this one so decided to use the sketch on the smeared and smudged forum very sketchy challenge. I had a look on the internet for inspiration too and was finding that every search was bring up more an more bright colours. I am not normally a fan of bright but I had a go with this card anyway. Once it was all put together I looked and thought it's missing something, which is when I tried my hand and free hand doodling, something I have never done before!! I need more practice, but for a first try it's not that bad! :)

The image I used is one of the ne…

I've got a bit of a long post for you all today! first off I will share with you my piece for the day. I decided to make a card to enter into the sparkle and glitter challenge. The image is called Mistress Vampyra by Rick St Dennis and can be found here

I coloured the image with promarkers and added some stickles where I wanted it to sparkle. The papers I have used are all from my stash. The die cut in the corner is a memory box one and the house the other side is Tim holtz, I have used some fake spider webbing to hang over that. The flowers are from wild orchid crafts and the lace and bling again are from my stash. I know I used pink! but it was the only big flower I had got that would go, and that bit of pinky packing paper....well I quite like that :)
I have been playing around with taking photos of my projects trying to find the best way to do it...I have to give a shout out to Lady Braxton for providing me …

day 12 of 31 days of Halloween!

Today I am sharing a page from my journal, I don't normally share things in there because it's all very personal to my but this piece made me laugh as I was making it and it's pretty creepy so I figured it would work for today :) As some of you know I have recently been put onto a strict diet as so many foods are making me sick or making other symptoms worse. It has now become a bit of a joke in my house that when ever we go out or anyone suggests what we can have for dinner I say "but I can't have that"

The image I used on this piece is zombie head shot from smeared ink. I coloured it with promarkers then when it was dry I used Tim Holtz rock candy crakle paint on the background of it. I splodged some distress stain on the page then stuck on the paper from Graphic 45. The lace is from my stash and the senti I wrote in pearlidoodles. I hope this has given you as much of a giggle as it did me!
If you have come to me without hopping through all the other fabulo…
