New mixed media tutorial

Hi everyone I'm back again, this time I've got a project to show you and tell you about my new tutorials.

I have made this mixed media canvas so I could do a tutorial for the Mixed Media University over at smeared and smudged. To view the tutorial you will have to become a member, but it is a free and friendly forum full of people who love to craft and stamp, and for those of you that have only seen my darker projects and think that is all smeared and smudged is about its not, Smeared Ink have released a whole bunch of new stamps all of them with a vintage feel and I promise not a single zombie in sight :)

The stamped image I have used can from one of the new sets and can be found here

New images at Delicious Doodles

Happy Easter everyone!

There will be a couple of new digi's in the Delicious Doodles store on Wednesday so I am having a play around with them...they are stunning!

Delicious Doodles challenge Easter card

Hello Lovelies, I am sharing a card with you that I have made using the theme for this weeks Delicious doodles challenge I kow it's not my teams week to make samples for the challenge but I needed to make Easter cards anyway so thought I'd make something that matches the theme.

I have used 3 designer papers from American Traditional Designs Faith collection, my 2 embelishments are the butterfly  and flower and the image is called Easter window.

I have coloured the image with distress inks and watercolour pencils and used the same on the sentiment.

I am entering this into the following challenges.

ooooh more new eye candy

This is a piece I have made today with the 2nd new set coming soon from Smeared ink. This time I have altered a book, folding the papers to give a look of a tent...or at least that is how it's supposed to look lol.

Be sure to check back between now and Friday as there will be plenty more sneak peeks of all the new stamps and then Friday I will post links to the sets when they are in the store.

New releases at smeared ink

I am so lucky, smeared ink are releasing some new digi stamp sets on Friday and being on the design team I have been able to play with them already. Here is a sneak peak some of the images from the first set.

I made a quick tag with this set, I layered the images in craft artist then once printed cut the tag. I've only used pastels to colour this so you could make something like this for our current smudgy antics challenge with is to make something colourful without using pencils or markers.

Dante Canvas

This canvas has been inspired by Dante's Inferno and is for the current challenge over at Haunted Design House.

I couldn't decide which of the circles of hell to go for so didn't make one theme inparticular more just the theme of hell in general.

I have used some smeared ink digi stamps from the Quoth the raven set which where transfered onto the canvas. I have used lots of different paints and molding paste on this 12" x 16" canvas.

My last piece for Tuesday alchemy

Well this will be my last DT for Tuesday Alchemy, it was my first DT post and has been a great learning experience. I am going to be focusing on the other DT's I am in now and I wish everyone in the Tuesday Alchemy design team good wishes.

Ok so the theme this fortnight is monochrome pastel rainbow. I decided to make a digi Easter card for my piece.

Be sure to check out the Tuesday Alchemy blog for details of the sponsers for this challenge.

A fortnight has passed and it is time for another challenge with Smudgy Antics. The theme for this two week period of creativity is

You can't get much easier than that!  Just make anything other than a card and remember to include a stamped image (real or digi) and follow the rules posted in the left sidebar which includes being a follower of the Smudgy Antics Blog.  The more creative, the better.  We love it when you guys and gals think outside of the box.  Get your mojo in gear and get ready to get inky.

I am not a massive card maker anymore so I do enjoy these anything but a card challenges.  for this one I have made a few things.
First up is a braclet, for this I stamped one of the as death stamps in rubber and stamped it onto some shrinkies paper. If you want the digi version of this stamp you will find it here I coloured it in and cut around it before heating it to make it shrink.
