Delicious Doodles no Design paper challenge

The challenge this week at Delicious Doodles is to make something without using design paper. This means you could make an altered item that doesn't require any design paper, you could stamp on your backing paper, you could emboss it or simply leave it plain.

I have created 2 piece for this challenge as I was feeling particularly inspired by the theme. the first card I made was using the Mermaid's Revenge I coloured the image in with promarkers. For the side panel on the card I ran it through my big shot with a Tim Holtz embossing folder. then rubbed over the raised part with distress ink. For the main background on the card I stamped all over it with a kaiser craft stamp and versamark, I then covered the whole thing with copper embossing powder and heated it. The brown panel just behind the image was also ran through the Big shot in an embossing folder

For my next piece I have made a Creepmas card, I used Bah Humbug Tree  and Christmas Skull Corner

I printed the images out on a sheet of A4 paper one in the top right one in the bottom right, then cut the paper in half and layered them so the tree was on the inside and the Skull on the front, I then get a label die and ran it through the big shot to make the hole for the window. To make the window I used a piece of acetate an made lines on it with some perfect pearls. When the perfect pearls were dry I used some alcohol inks to stain the acetate. I then inserted the acetate between the 2 pieces of card and sealed it all.

I hope you are able to have a look at all the design teams fab pieces and join in with this challenge.
