The theme this time is to do your thing, I had planned on some crazy mixed media piece but just haven't felt up to it so instead I did the other thing I love doing which is art journalling. The stamps I used on this page are all from the specimen jar rubber set by smeared ink details of which can be found here

Smeared Ink DT piece - Altered Tile

Here is my DT piece for Smeared Ink for this week, I have altered a ceramic tile using one of the May featured rubber sets called Jack. this rubber set can only be got through the rubber club at smeared ink, full details of which can be found here.
The image was stamped onto the tile then I heat embossed it. Once the ink and embossing powders were all dry I coloured in the images with alcohol inks.

Come and have a look at what is going on this week in the Smeared and Smudged Forum

Think Pink, Delicious Doodles Challenge

Hi lovelies, the challenge this week with Delicious Doodles is 'PINK' for breast cancer awareness. for more information on breast cancer and how you can check yourself for it please have a look here.

The image I have used for my piece is Lilleth, I only lightly colour it to give it a bit of a sepia feel.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

New Release at Smeared Ink

The fabulous Alexandria Serrano has drawn a new set of stamps for Smeared Ink and I have LOVED having a play with them.

Here are the stamps:

Pretty awesome right?
Now what if I was to tell you that you could be in with a chance of winning the full set?
All you need to do is have a look at everyones projects in the hop today and leave a comment on each blog. Then when you have done that leave me a message on the forum here telling me that you have left comments on the blogs and which is your favourite image in this new set. I will be picking a winner at random on Sunday.

I have made a journal page for my piece and I've used Loved alone 2 and Octopus Sorrow all of these images will be available later today in the Smeared Ink Store.

I started by colouring my images in with watercolour pencils

I then added some paint to my journal pages
Once the paint was dry I added some different …

Crazy Craniums

This ATC has been made with the Wicked Wednesday ATC challenge in mind. I always mean to join in with loads of challenges and then either forget or just run out of time, so I am pleased I actually have something made in time for a change :)

The image that I have used is Cranium Witch from Smeared Ink and on the background of my ATC I used the rubber background stamp from the Morte set, also from Smeared Ink.

Smeared and Smudged members hop

The hop theme this month is to decorate an egg, I very nearly didn't sign up to this one as I didn't think I would have time. I am glad I did sign up...even if it was only yesterday morning that I did LOL

April Monthly Member Blog Hop

Black Dragon
Lisa Shell

I knew I wanted my egg to be a dragon egg I just wasn't sure how I was going to go about it, then I remembered that Haunted Design House have got a steampunk junk and an egg shell would normally end up in the bin so I figured it's junk enough so i'd make a steampunk dragons egg.
The egg was blown, cleaned and dried then was given a coat of acrylic paint (the sort you get to paint models) I realised that trying to paint an egg and keep it still wasn't going to work so I ended up just rubbing the paint all over with my hands, which was rather satisfying. When the blu was dry I added some no nails glue and stuck on my watch parts, once that was dry it had a few blasts of brass spray pa…

Easter with Ike's World Challenges

Hello lovelies! We are half way through our challenge at IKE's WORLD Challenges but there is still a week left to come and play, our challenge this time is Everything Easter. I've used an absolutely adorable image called EASTER CHICKLETS to make this Easter card for Sall's Nan.

Ike is so generous and has popped a wonderful freebie on the challenge blog for you to use.

A little Kink for the weekend?

I was so pleased that this was the Freaky Freebie for this month, on the Smeared and Smudged Forum, as I LOVE this set of stamps. It was actually one from the Femdon set that made me aware of Smeared Ink so it's my favourite set for many reasons :)
I've kept this card very simple as I think the image works better that way, I punched out the sentiment with my decorative label punch from Stampin' Up! and added a couple of handcuffs.

I am entering this into the following challenge: - LOC rather than theme.

A bit of Freak

So I've been seeing these pop up exploding boxes all over the place and I keep thinking how complicated they must be to make so keep putting off trying. After feeling like a challenge this weekend I thought there was no better time to try so here is my 1st attempt at it.

I've gone with a carnival freak theme for mine and I've used the Carnies rubber stamps from Smeared Ink. You can find all back issues and details of the Smeared Ink rubber club here.

4 seasons with Delicious Doodles

I really do need to come and check that my scheduled posts do actually post!!

This week's challenge at Delicious Doodles is:

"All Seasons in One Day"
Anything you like folks, as long as it shows one of the four seasons!

I couldn't decide which one of the seasons I wanted to do so I did all 4, and to make things even harder for myself I made twinchies!!

For anyone that doesn't know, a twinchie is a 2 inch by 2 inch square of art. I can tell you that colouring in such tiny images is rather difficult!

These are all the images that I have used Rosalee,Christmas Lantern
Pumpkin CornerEaster Bunny Fairy and various papers.

Quoth the Raven POEcabulary

For our challenge at Quoth the Raven this month we are asking for you to create something fit for the Master using one of his works as inspiration.

For my piece I have used the work The Black Cat. I started with an A4 watercolour journal which I sprayed and rubbed inks into, once dry I then added more ink through some homemade stencils. The image I printed out 3 times and fussy cut to layer, I also removed the eye and once it was coloured and stuck together I added some red acrylic paint into the eye socket (which I might add I found far too enjoyable for it to be normal!). The fab image has been drawn by the very talented Ike...I can't seem to find it in the store however she has drawn one specifically for The Black Cat which doesn't require it's eye to be mutilated and you can find that here.
