Smeared Ink DT blog hop

Here we are again at the end of the month so it's blog hop time!!
Here is the blog list for today's hop

Shell Kapree Shoni Creepy Glowbugg Rebecca

I have got something a bit different to share today, a month or so ago my youngest asked me to make him a pairs game and I have finally got around to finishing it!
I used the images from the zombies headshots set and then on the box I used some stamps from the build a zombie alphabet rubber set.

Smeared Ink DT piece

For my dt piece this week I have made a mixed media tag. I started with the image which is from the heavy metal digi set. The image has been printed onto some DP twice , fussy cut and layered.

The tag is an off cut of mount board which I have used various techniques on, I started by using some TH stencils and some all purpose filler, once that was dry I painted it with black paint, then did several different washes over the top. Some of the paint came away when I did that so in those places I used some silver alcohol ink mixative and then black washed over it. All of the other bits on this are from my stash.

If you aren't a member of the Smeared and Smudged Forum we would love to see you there!

Bows and Buttons with Delicious Doodles

This week at Delicious Doodles we want you to show us your bows and buttons. The piece I have made is a gift bag using the gorgeous Lilleth image. This bag started it's life as a cereal box, to start with I covered it with a wall paper sample I tore off when I was in B&Q, I then used a bit of blue card to create the bag, the ribbon, bling and buttons are all from my stash.

I do hope you will join us with this challenge

Summer Fun

I was going a bit of colouring yesterday and I really wanted to get this stamp turned into something. I found 2 challenges that I was inspired by the first is with the theme on the beach and the second is with a sketch challenge.

The image I have used on this card is called Beach Lola Adams from Simply Betty Stamps, I coloured her with promarkers. All of the papers are from my dwindling stash (not bought a pack of DP this year!!)

Smeared Ink Brand new Rubber!!

Have you seen the new rubber set for July? Oh my goodness it is fabulous. If you have no idea what I am talking about this is the new set

The Smeared Ink rubber club is a great way to build up a collection of top quality red rubber stamps, each month there will be one or two sets on offer, some of them brand new never seen before stamps like the ones above. If you are not a member of the rubber club yet then have a look here for the details, once you are a member you can get $5 off your next order with every friend you referral that then join up.
Being on the Smeared Ink dt means I am one of those super lucky people that gets to play with these images before everyone else. I have made 2 6" x 6" layouts which will eventually go into a new journal book I am making.

I am really loving using canvas paper but I do need to practice colouring more on it as it just doesn't allow blending like other papers do (good excuse to stamps lots more to practice on :D)

Monochrome with IKE's World Challenges

The current challenge over at IKE's World Challenges is monochrome and for my dt piece I've made a card using the gorgeous ANNABEL LEE 2. I coloured the image in a combination of spectrum noir and promarkers then layered it with some different grey shade of DT and card from my stash.

Smeared Ink DT Piece

Here is my dt piece for this week. I have been getting inky with some Smeared Ink rubber stamps. The ones I used are from April's Featured set the keepers. I made the tag from some mount board off cut, I covered it with some dp and stamped directly onto it. I then coloured it with a combination of pitt pens, promarkers and sharpies.

There are lots of fun challenges as always on the smeared and smudged forum which you could come and join in with. This month the overall prize is a rubber set of your choice from the past offerings so certainly not one to be missed!

Smeared Ink DT piece digi masks

Oooh I am cutting it fine with my DT for this week!  I have got a digital page to share with you today, I created it in craft artist and used the stamps from the Venice Digi set and the backing paper is from the caught in my web digi paper pack.

Better late than never!

I have been having a complete nightmare with blogger, my email account was hacked so I had to change all my passwords, blogger clearly didn't get the memo that the password had changed so no matter which one I tried to use to get into it I couldn't. Luckily I had a bit of time free last night so managed to get it all working again.

So here is my VERY late piece for the current challenge at IKE's World Challenges. The challenge theme is to make a piece inspired by a song or movie title. For my piece I have made a completely digital page using craft artist. My inspiration for this is the Song "Let Her Go" by Passenger, I love this song and often has Passenger playing in the background while I am crafting. The gorgeous Image that I have used is called Really!!.

There are still a few days left for this challenge so it's not too late to join in!

For the love of Animals with Delicious Doodles

I am so late posting this! The bad thing about having a week away is playing catch up all over the place after it.

Here is my piece for the new challenge over at Delicious Doodles, I used the image call of the wild then put the whole things together in Craft artist.
